Each search engine carries a different criteria for each submissions meaning one engine may ask that your site not be submitted more than 72 hours and another 24 hours.  Remember your site has page extensions and these are very important.  So now your must submit each extension one at a time to the one search engine.  Now you must do this to each search engine and now I am tired thinking about all that work!
     

  3. Does your company submit all the pages of my site to the search engines or just the main page?

  4. What is an Organic Listing?
    An organic listing search is a process by which World Wide Web users find web sites having unpaid search engine listings, as opposed to using the pay per click advertisement listings displayed among the search results.
    The field of search engine optimization, (SEO), is concerned with maximizing the visibility of a web site by making its listings appear more frequently and more prominently in organic search results. Some businesses base their SEO strategies on the successful insertion of their web site listing(s) into organic search results for various popular keywords.  This is proven to be the best bang for the buck.

    On the World Wide Web, a link farm is any group of web pages that all hyperlink to every other page in the group. Although some link farms can be created by hand, most are created through automated programs and services. A link farm is a form of spamming the index of a search engine (sometimes called spamexing or spamdexing). Other link exchange systems are designed to allow individual websites to selectively exchange links with other relevant websites and are not considered a form of spamdexing.
     

  6. What is Pay-Per-Click?
    A Pay Per Click (also known as Pay Per Ranking, Pay Per Placement, Pay Per Performance or Pay Per Position) search engine enables you to list your site at a particular position of the search results according to the keyword bid. You list your website by selecting keywords that refer to your products or services. For each keyword you determine how much you are willing to spend and what position you want. The higher you bid the higher your site will appear in the search results. You can start your bid from 1 cent per click for most of the major PPC engines, some PPC engines have a minimum bid of 5 cents per click.

    In Pay Per Click search engine you only pay for the clicks (or click through) to your web site. Pay-per-click search engine plays an important role to drive traffic to the web site because you only pay for actual clicks if some one click on your listing on the search results. It is risk free and a cheaper alternative to listing with the bigger search engines. Pay per click search engines usually combine paid listings with unpaid listings. Usually unpaid listing are provided by search engines like Google, Inktom or DMOZ. If there is no enough bidders (or listing) for a certain search term, part
    of the search results will come from those free search engines.

Here are a few red flags to look out for from SEO Companies:

  • No SEO firm can ever guarantee top rankings in Organic Searches. Beware of illegal or "black hat" spamming techniques.  This can get you banned from the search engines.

  • Stay away from SEO Companies that send mass e-mails appearing to be spam.

  • Website owners can receive lots of emails from those massively generalized e-mail campaigns looking something like this:
